Closer Walk With Thee - Acoustic Jazz Blues instrumental
Filed under: instrumental jazz

I learned this arrangement from a cd called “American Traditional” by Duck Baker and Molly Andrews.
It’s based on the playing of New Orleans clarinetist George Lewis.
Duck recorded this song again on his latest cd called “Do You KNow What It Means To Miss New Orleans”. The second version differs quite a bit from the one he recorded earlier; it shows how great an arranger and player he is.
Duck’s cd’s are available at www.duckbaker.com
I’m playing my Gréven “OO” and the song is in the key of G

Fantastic. By the way, you might already have this in your library, but there’s a great 4 CD set called Blind Willie Johnson and the Guitar Evangelists. I think it’s on JSP records. Lot’s of rare, rustic stuff that I think you might enjoy. Then again, maybe not. Anywho, thanks for sharing - it sounds great.
