Tony Spinelli recorded this jazz-blues instrumental jam on the theme from the film “Exodus” in 1984, using a primitive overdubbing rig with guitar, bass, and a Dave Crigger pre-recorded drum track.

    Thanks! I was listening to a lot of jazz back in the ’80s….I didn’t like most of the rock and pop that was being made at the time…what would you rather here, some jazz like Gerry Mulligan or some hair metal?

    Thank you for your kind words…I recorded that many years ago with primitive equipment…I was 24 at the time and modern home recording equipment did not exist then….it’s nice to hear something positive about the music I was making back then! I was very much into jazz in the 80s….as you can discern by hearing that track!

    The guitar was a Vox Starstream, played direct into the tape recorder. That is its naked sound….definately a little jazzy, in the way hollowbody electrics are.
