I'll be in Indy from Mon 20th -Sun 26th. Where are Jazz clubs, comedy clubs, concerts, special events that me and my man can go to.
My fist suggestion is to get a copy of the Nuvo (alternative newspaper) or InTake (the Indianapolis Star's entertainment guide). Both are free and list happenings all over the city. I've put their links below.
There's a lot to do while you're in town. If you're downtown, check out the Chatterbox for live jazz or the Slippery Noodle for blues. On the Friday night after T-day there is a big 'tree' lighting ceremony downtown on the circle. If you like big crowds it's kind of fun.
Cracker's Comedy Club is downtown (4 blocks south of the circle). The Noodle is another 2 blocks south of that. If you shop, Circle Center Mall is also right downtown.
