What should I wear to a Jazz Concert?

Hi all! I was wondering what would be good to wear to a Jazz concert at my university? It is free… so I was thinking something like a black turtleneck with jeans and black flats. Is that too casual? Do I need to go for more dressy?

Any suggestions?

That sounds good to me.
It's classy and simple. I'm sure you'll be fine.
Especially if it's a free concert.

i think that sounds just fine. especially in winter. what you wear often depends on where you live (what city) and where the event is held. i think that your outfit sounds fine for a jazz concert at a university location. if you want to dress it up a bit, just add some showy earrings or a colorful scarf.

Add a chiffon polka dot scarf, pull your hair back in a classy ponytail, wear a subtle, soft red lipstick, and chunky bohem earrings with a big, metallic watch.

It's sounds great except maybe substitute the jeans?

    Around my area, it's usually:
    1. a white blouse (with maybe a cool tie)
    2. black pants
    3. flats
