If you know how jazz musicians such as cab calloway, louis armstrong, and duke ellington
Jazz has effected modern music is almost every way possible. Have you ever heard a rock song that has swung eighth notes? That’s from the beginnings of jazz. A lot of rock songs use the blues scale, too. It’s a really easy scale to know, and it adds a really cool touch to the music. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a blues song to use the blues scale. Also, almost any solo on like, a guitar in a rock band, especially if they’re live is improvised. They didn’t just make up improv for modern music. That came wayyy back from the very beginnings of jazz. Also, if you ever hear any call and response in modern music, it comes from the very source of jazz, which is the spirituals that the slaves sang during the 1800s. So, as you can tell, jazz has effected modern music in so many ways. And guess what, there are a lot more, i just cant think of any right now. lol.

Scat singing features prominently in Jazz. Using blue notes to switch between major and minor modes is particularly jazzy, also kinda bluesy.
Jazz isn’t usually written in complete form, like classical. It’s more common for composers to produce charts, which serve as the musical outline. Players improvise the notes, while sticking to the main theme in the charts.
