NPR has the best jazz segment, in the KC area, that I know of.

There is no longer a smooth jazz radio station format in Kansas City. There used to be "The City", but it went off the air. We have Sirius radio to appease the lack of jazz music on the radio. We love it because you never have to listen to all the babble of dj's or advertisements. There are several stations available and we never have to worry about it going off the air.

Unless you have satellite radio, the only jazz I know of is Saturday nite on KUDL 98.1 FM. It runs from 8:00 to midnite on Saturdays.

Check the website for the jazz ambassadors. If there's a radio station playing jazz they will have it on their website.
