    when I first heard …
when I first heard this song it was a cover song that was played on 94.7 the wave by some band I dont know who they are, but until I heard the original I knew it was played by only a great man as Herbie Hancock.

    Oh God, I really …
Oh God, I really really hope you don’t relate what Kenny G does to “American Music”.

We’re all trying to denounce it. Believe me.

    Maybe because I …
Maybe because I listen thru studio monitors hooked up to my computer, but this is as far from elevator music as you can get. Metheny’s guitar synth tone is unique and his phrasing is sublime. I’m sure that tone would have been fantastic heard live.

    This is the first …
This is the first earworm I get from a song being just too awesome. Usually a song gets stuck in my head because I hate it and it’s annoying, but in this case, it’s so good I can’t stop whistling it and thinking about it.

    i can not believe …
i can not believe some people can relate this to elevator music. c’mon are you serious? herbrie hancock, dave holland, pat metheny & jack dejohnette have never created “elevator music” collectively or in any solo setting. you’re a fool. if you want elevator music go listen to kenny g’s greatest hits on the way to Macy’s, you ignorant piece of

    When I was studying …
When I was studying keyboards, I had this song running around my head quite a bit. Never could play it this well. The piano line is really good to sit down and play around with on the piano. Thanks for posting this.

    Yes, I’ve listened …
Yes, I’ve listened to it about 8 times now. :)
I didn’t say it was elevator music, but rather it’s close to being that. Perhaps it’s Pat’s tone, or the relatively tame bass player, but I just don’t think it’s as good as it could have been considering who’s playing.
