According tio SRV it gicves a slihgtly different tone, but personally I am wioth you and don;t think it makes a great deal of difference, maybe it was just more comfy for him, its a buig guitar, and my younger sister when she tries to pay mine interstingly alway holds it T Bone style, so maybe it;s just preference? Who knows, but i know it sounds great!

    T-Bone Walker …
T-Bone Walker helped to usher in Big City and West Coast Blues. His vocals were crisp and sophisticated. He was an international performer. He’s on the stage with some of the heavyweights of jazz. I was always amazed how he held and play his Gibson guitar. T-Bone influenced BB King and Chuck Berry.
